Hey there, I’m Michelle!

I believe that anyone can learn ASL. I first became fascinated with ASL as a young child, and while I was eager to learn, the classes just weren’t available.

Over time, I became friends with Deaf people, and quickly fell in love with the community’s rich history and culture. This led me to gain a B.S. in Social Studies Education from NYU, and eventually earn an M.S.Ed in Deaf Education from Western Maryland College.

Since then I’ve worked as a substitute teacher at Lexington School for the Deaf, a tutor in Lexington’s dorm, a Teacher’s Assistant at Mill Neck School for the Deaf, and a History teacher and Chairperson at “47” The ASL and English Secondary School.

These days I’m busy creating the accessible ASL programs and classes that I wished were available when I was younger, and helping more people discover ASL so they can communicate with their friends, children, and members of the Deaf community.
